About Gillis
I go by Nick and I look forward to meeting you!
My name is Nick Gillis and I am a second generation insurance salesman. My father is still in the business but we focus on different specialties. I grew up learning about life insurance but now my focus is the Property and Casualty side of business, meaning Homes, Farms, Automobiles, Toys and Businesses as well as the liability that comes along with those properties and activities.
My wife has recently survived a pretty heavy onslaught of treatment for breast cancer detected not long after our baby girl was born in late 2018. I'm raising 3 girls! From any of you who understand what I just said... the 3 girls part, can I get an AMEN! ;) That also means I like emojis and I keep a ready sense of humor. We have our hands full, if you couldn't tell.
My mission is 3 part: To grow a business (1) by helping others (2) to provide for my family (3). A business by nature is a part of the community so there are many ways that I can help others in the course of normal business activities. The easiest that all insurance agents pitch is that I can save you money and save you time with the services I provide. The other way I am giving back is by running a campaign to help feed the needy. Raising three girls with a VERY strong mother is teaching me a lot, mostly that I know nothing! But more importantly, I'm learning how to educate. Not in the sense of school but in how to think for ourselves and how our actions precipitate out into the community where we live. We have the ability to choose how to set up the dominoes that will ripple into the world. Good and bad.
I'm in this business to educate, to talk no nonsense sharing the good and bad to correct or reinforce financial decisions designed to protect us from a financial loss. The results are a thriving business, a healthy family and the ability to give back to the community. I hope you'll join me.
